Description
Small spheres, endless possibilities! These polystyrene (styrofoam) balls come into their own whenever a decoration needs to last: covered in sugar paste they make round cake toppers, Christmas baubles, bases for sugar flower arrangements, or any three-dimensional decoration that will never spoil.
They are also excellent for practice, letting you try out covering, modelling and airbrush techniques without sacrificing real cake. They are popular for fake cake pops and shop-window displays too.
How to use: first rub the sphere with piping gel or shortening, then cover with rolled-out sugar paste or marzipan.
