Silicone Mould – Spider Web Panel with Spider, 117 × 98 mm

A complete spider web in one press. The mould forms a single connected web panel with an arched top, radiating threads at the centre and a spider in the lower third – a finished decoration in itself, with nothing to pipe or draw.

The arched top reads like a gothic window, so it sits well against the side of a cake, and it also works standing upright on top as a backdrop. Because the threads are all connected, the panel lifts out in one piece and can be moved and positioned without falling apart.

On fondant or gum paste the web stands proud of the surface and casts a shadow, which is what gives the finished cake its depth. Brushed with gold or silver lustre dust, the motif stands out even more.
